Job description:
Responsible for the development and design of stations and equipment for manual and automated manufacturing from concept to implementation and support.

As a skilled team player and technical leader you’ll be working in an innovative, fast changing environment developing manufacturing equipment for cutting edge technology lasers in a multi-site environment.

Overall responsibilities:

- Leading a small team development of manual and automated manufacturing stations including tooling and fixture design
- Managerial responsibility towards direct reports
- Responsible for the Safety/Function/Quality/Cost and Delivery of manufacturing equipment
- Defining best practices and company internal standards
- Leading and participating in workshops
- Responsible for the creation of clear documentation of the equipment
- Coordinate and communicate with external contractors and production line engineers
- Preparing make-buy decisions and carry out investment (Capex) planning, execution and tracking
- Support Manufacturing team in the development of the line
- Support development of production processes
- Lead concept studies, design, implementation, validation, error handling and root cause analysis
- Lead multi-site team in different time zones
- 10-15% travel

**Profile**:

- BSc or higher in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics/Automation or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years experience, 2+ in management or team leader position
- Automation and tooling design experience
- Experience with signal handling and PLC programming
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic equipment
- Mechanical design experience
- Excellent in written, verbal communication and presentation
- Ability to explain and discuss technical ideas and concepts
- Pro-active problem solver with a systematic approach
- Team player
- Organizational and project planning skills
- Willing to support global project which include traveling
- Fluent in English
