**Job Description**:
Our client is a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company in the fields of infrastructure and energy with aspirations to grow as an international developer, investor and contractor for projects in strategically selected high growth infrastructure markets.

Based in Zurich, they are looking for a **Technical DIRECTOR** **INFRASTRUCTURE** (M/W)

RESPONSABILITIES
- Manage technical team and project delivery
- Review and coordinate all engineering design submittals from contractors and consultants, as well as follow up site supervision, design conflicts and variation orders for the client
- Manage the Technical Office teams on Technical and Department issues
- Supervise review and approvals of drawings and calculations, Material Submittals with respect to the project Specification and Standards of practice submitted by contractors and/or consultants
- Review technical submissions and design layouts as well as material submittals from contractors and consultants
- Take part in the project management review and risk management review.
- Coordinate interface between the construction and engineering teams ensuring that the construction requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that the engineering deliverables satisfy the construction requirements.
- Manage the cost analysis and cost control of site activities.
- Leverage on knowledge of construction techniques and equipment in order to develop strategies.
- Coordinate with quantity surveyors or payment appreciations and change orders.
- Hire, monitor, coach and develop the Engineering team members.
- Review and opine on Bills of Quantities (BoQs)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering or related.
- 12 years’ experience in the Construction and engineering of Infrastructure: roads, highway, railway, etc, in projects around the world.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.
- Strong organisational, problem solving, negotiation and analytical skills. Capable of leading teams and managing conflicts.
- The capability to deal daily with a multi-cultural workforce
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety practices and standards
- Good knowledge of Environment related practices and standards
- Fluency in both verbally and written English
- Adaptability, flexibility and open minded
- **MANDATORY: European passport**

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or civil engineering
