**Your role**
- Are you an experienced and versatile banking lawyer with a strong interest in corporate financing transactions, ideally also with a trade and export finance background? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and international environment, advising our internal clients, and negotiating with external clients similar to a lawyer in a corporate law firm?
- We’re looking for a legal counsel to:
- advise on all legal matters regarding credit financing, including drafting and negotiating of bilateral credit agreements and related documents;
- advise on all legal matters in connection with the financial and/or operational restructuring of corporate borrowers under financial distress (in particular through the sale of assets or parts of the company, buyout, merger, change in business set-up, or transfer of ownership);
- devise bespoke solutions for our clients' financing needs from bilateral and syndicated ECA backed corporate lending to manufacturer and buyers’ credits, usually in an international context;
- further expand the product offering that comprises lending as well as trade & export finance;
- give clear, coherent legal advice to our business partners and other risk functions.

**Your team**
- You are part of Legal Switzerland with colleagues in Geneva, Lugano and Zurich. An exciting and challenging role, the portfolio spans from transaction banking services, restructuring of corporate borrowers under financial distress, various trade finance instruments (such as bank guarantees and documentary letters of credit) to ECA backed export financing. So, no two days will be the same.

In a spirit of partnership, we advise and support our UBS internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory aspects of retail and corporate banking in Switzerland. We appreciate and cultivate the exchange when we work together from the office, but also the flexibility of working from home.

**Your expertise**
- Master degree in law and preferably Swiss bar admission, ideally with a postgraduate qualification (LL.M or similar)
- Proven practical experience in a similar position, preferably in the transactions business and ECA backed financing, either in a corporate law firm or in-house
- Interest in complex legal issues and business transactions
- Great communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to cooperate with and manage internal business partners and functions as well as external legal counsels
- Able to work independently and under pressure and towards challenging deadlines

- Fluent in German and English (French will be an advantage)
- Proven track record of providing confident, clear and concise advice in a timely manner and no inhibition to take a judgement call
