This position will be an integral part of the Regional External Affairs team. We are looking for a communications expert with a strong proven track-record delivering strategic communications activities.
**_ OBJECTIVES_**
- Strategic communications advisor to EUCAN business
- Integral part of the EUCAN comms function to drive the communications agenda engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Key business partner for EUCAN DD&T leads and EUCAN Franchise leads
- Manage all issues related activities with LOCs and global
- Support internal and external comms agenda for EUCAN comms
**_ ACCOUNTABILITIES_**
Key business partner for EUCAN DD&T leads and EUCAN Franchise leads and ability to manage complexities across the matrix organization.
- **DD&T**: Key point person and partner with EUCAN DD&T team for all communications including internal comms, stakeholder management, external comms, messaging and narrative development and execution, thought leadership
- ** Franchise**: work with leads and the country communicators to ensure that the global therapy area communications strategies are compliant and executed in our local commercial markets.
- Partner and co-create franchise communications plan to reach stakeholders in the region. Components may include development of regional messages and talking points; media materials, including regional press releases and external company announcements
- Lead strategic communication programmes to be executed across LOCs for our current pipeline and growth brand portfolios.
- Partner closely with GPLS/GPD / LOC communications team to coordinate on global and local initiatives
- ** Issues management**: Manage all issues related activities with LOCs and global - acting as the main point person to ensure LOCS are well supported and representing their voices in the interactions with global to ensure all the necessary documents and information reach the LOCs.
- ** Additional**: Support internal and external comms agenda for EUCAN comms - including content writing, announcements, thought leadership, infographics, social media, briefing docs, Q&As. Lead delivery of our quarterly internal EUCAN Town Halls.
**_ TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE_**
- 8+ years experience in strategic communications
- Solid experience in franchise / product comms and issues management
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience
- Creative storyteller and strategist
**_ LEADERSHIP_**
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and happy navigating sometimes complex situations with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the Takeda business and ability to strategically advise internal stakeholders on communications related matters to drive engagement and enhance corporate reputation.
- Confident managing change
**_ DECISION-MAKING AND AUTONOMY_**
- Strong and confident decision-maker using an enterprise view of the business to make decisions that drive results
- Good understanding of how and when to align with key stakeholders including the Head of comms, and when to drive own initiative
**_ INTERACTION_**
- Act as advisor to all LOC comms on their activities working closely with them to deliver their plans
- Closely align with the EUCAN External Affairs Team
- Work closely with global and GPD to align communications and ensure the needs of the LOCs are being met
- Ability to create a strong network across the company and externally

**_ COMPLEXITY_**
- This role requires a creative, strategic thinker who can embed themselves into the dynamic team and build strong relationships across the region, LOC and globally.
- It requires someone who can work across diverse cultures, finding ways to meet the different business needs while focusing on the key priorities of the team.
- Managing risk and ensuring issues do not turn into crises is also an important aspect.
**_ EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:_**
- Prior pharma experience necessary
- Experience managing issues
- Experience working in both comms agencies and in-house is a bonus
