PhD position in toxicology to develop alternatives to animal tests using fish
**Are you excited about** advancing new approach methods to reduce and eliminate the use of animals in chemical risk assessment? As part of our world-renowned research programme to establish fish cell line-based in vitro assay procedures to predict chemical impact on fish, we have an opening for a PhD student to push these frontiers with a focus on the role of habitat (temperature) and tissue
- and species sensitivity. The envisioned project is embedded in an interdisciplinary setting where you have the opportunity to employ and further develop state-of-the-art experimental approaches using fish cell lines, along with aspects of analytical chemistry and computational modelling to enable in vitro-to-in-vivo extrapolations (IVIVE).
