**Medical Affairs Manger - Breast Cancer**
The Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) works as a medical affairs expert leads and supports all aspects of drugs in the field of oncology within cross-functional teams. The Medical Affairs Manager reports to the Therapeutic Area Lead Breast/Gyne Cancer.
**Your main tasks**
- You work as a strategic partner and as a medical-scientific expert for breast and gynecological cancers with the cross-functional brand teams.
- You are responsible for the independent planning and effective implementation of an integrated and coordinated medical strategy as well as innovative medical activity plans (publications, advisory board, medical education etc.) for your respective indications in breast and gynecological cancers).
- You are responsible for the development and implementation of the field medical strategic plans in your therapeutic area.
- You have the responsibility for planning and implementing robust evidence generation plans (local clinical trials (NIS), RWE projects and investigator initiated trial (IIT/ESR).
- You support the implementation and execution of AZ-global sponsored studies in collaboration with clinical operations.
- You ensure the alliance management for the joint medical strategy
- On the basis of the product strategy, you are dealing with clinical or medical issues as well as market access and regulatory issues.
- You give your medical-scientific input on our sales promotion and other activities and are responsible for the internal release of promotional and presentation material.
- You are jointly responsible for medical-scientific training and further education in the therapeutic area of oncology.
- You will participate in national and international congresses.
- You independently support opinion leaders in Switzerland, in particular by providing and communicating scientific information on AstraZeneca's oncology products.
- You support the MIPS department (Medical Information/Patient Safety) in responding to medical-scientific requests for oncology products.
- You are responsible for the medical budget of your products.
**Your profile**
- University degree in a health-related scientific field, such as MSc, PhD or MD
- Professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in medical affairs, medical science liaison, clinical medicine and/or drug development
- Professional experience in supporting external opinion leaders in the field of oncology is desirable.
- Good understanding of oncology
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the legal and ethical framework and procedural guidelines applicable to the promotion and authorisation of medicinal products in Switzerland (Pharmacodex, Compliance)
- Experience in relationship and stakeholder management (3P's-Payers, Providers and Patients)
- Proven experience in product lifecycle management and successful launch management
- Ability to set priorities
- Extensive experience in data analysis, processing and effective communication (peer to peer level)
- Experience working with Clinical Operations, as well as study groups and externally sponsored studies
- Ability and willingness to work in a cross-functional team
- Strong communication, negotiation and assertiveness skills
- Integrity and high ethical standards
- Good strategic thinking skills
- Strong business management, budgeting and financial skills
- Very good command of German and English, knowledge of French is a plus
- Very good command of written and spoken English, good knowledge of French is desired
