**Vice President Corporate Finance**

The objective of the role of Vice President of Corporate Finance is to lead, manage and control all aspects of the Corporate Finance Department. He/she is directly responsible for the Corporate Finance and tax team and liaises indirectly with the regional finance teams, subsidiary controllers, and the corporate heads of department.
This is a key role to support the CFO, also by providing relevant reports and analyses for the Management Board and Supervisory Board.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Accounting**
- Preparation of consolidated annual statutory accounts in German and English together with associated reports
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the statutory financial accounts of the individual Swiss and German companies
- Lead the statutory audit process (including interim audits) by pro-actively managing the relationship with the group and component auditors as well the planning and execution of the audits
- Oversee the preparation of PBC lists and ICS documentation
- Responsibility for the Corporate Finance function, ensuring all processes and procedures are completed efficiently and effectively
- Provide instruction and training to subsidiary controllers, particularly with regard to quarterly analytical review and year-end template completion
- Continuous assessment and maintenance of an effective system of internal control, overseeing the update and introduction of corporate finance policies and procedures

**Management Accounting**
- Production and delivery of the group consolidation and consolidated forecast management accounts on a monthly basis, together with appropriate analysis on a timely and accurate basis
- Perform a detailed analytical review of management fees, other income streams, and expenses
- Coordination and preparation of the Group budget including balance sheet and cash flow
- Coordination and preparation of the Group Five-Year plan including balance sheet and cash flow
- Preparation of the material required for the annual company valuation
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a single standard chart of accounts and ensure its compatibility with the Kempinski Analytics environment
- Support the development of the Kempinski Analytics database and the supplier relationship in co-ordination with business needs

**Tax**
- Management of tax matters with the support of the Group Tax Manager in respect of compliance, risk assessment, tax audit and transfer pricing consideration in the different jurisdictions of the Kempinski Group
- Ensure the completion of the year end E-Bilanz XBRL taxonomy for the German entities.
- Oversee the research and analysis regarding withholding tax issues (WHT) and develop database of WHT for the global hotel group including WHT claims.
- Preparation of the group tax position for management accounts purposes including deferred tax calculations

**Other**
- Manage and develop the team, taking changing requirements into account, set parameters for recruiting and training of the team, lead department meetings and workshops at regular intervals throughout the year, based on topics such as goals, results of employee surveys and relevant updates
- Prepare and present presentations on finance topics of interest for corporate info meetings and worldwide controllers conference
- Work and co-operate with the Management board and other Heads of Department to help execute the strategic roadmap of the company cross-functional and within the Finance department
- Serve as company director of some of the subsidiary companies as required
- To continue professional education to ensure current accounting developments are applied as appropriate

**Desired Skills & Qualifications**:
**Education and functional competency**
- Professional qualifications and experience (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, MBA or similar), preferably having trained with one of the large four accounting firms in Germany
- Technical knowledge of German GAAP with IFRS experience of advantage
- Practical experience and understanding of consolidation of foreign subsidiaries (including minority interests, associate companies and valuation of investments)
- Experience in the hospitality sector or service driven environment
- Good team and people leadership skills
- Understanding of enterprise planning tools and IT platforms, digitalisation and integration of processes and proc
