**Your Team**

You will be responsible for the Avaloq Vendor Management division within the Operations business area. The team's responsibility is to manage Avaloq's external spend, advance the purchasing and procurement operating model, monitor, evaluate and steer vendor performance, and strategically develop the company's partner ecosystem. Vendor Management is the world-class central purchasing and partner management powerhouse to drive Avaloq's success with externals.

**Your mission**
- Define and deliver on the external spend strategy based on Avaloq’s and business areas’ objectives; challenge status quo
- Closely work with Avaloq business areas to define their external strategies and scope their strategic as well as tactical external needs
- Set year-on-year cost savings and performance targets, and deliver upon the targets in line with strategy and tactical opportunities
- Re-think and step-change Vendor Management processes, tools and policies to become more effective and efficient
- Define the triage framework for new purchases; set up the organisation for self-guided or catalogue purchasing; drive innovation
- Provide expert input in individual sourcing strategies and negotiations; lead key negotiations yourself; interact with C-level
- Establish activities to improve vendor performance; assess need for partnerships and drive embedment in Avaloq’s partner ecosystem
- Monitor, steer, and advance strategic partnerships, incl. strategy definition and operational execution
- Manage, develop, and shape the Vendor Management team on a day-to-day basis; motivate to bring out the best of each individual
- Set, define, and assess the performance of Vendor Management teams; form a world-class unit that actively drives change

**Qualifications**:
**Your profile**
- Previous experience in similar position, ideally within a global/local multicultural setup. Experience in the Financial Services or Information Technology sector are a plus, but not necessary
- Thorough understanding of the vendor landscape in the global software product and services marketplace, incl. particularities
- Excellent negotiation, problem solving, analytical and communications skills together with relationship and influencing skills
- Strategic thinking to drive long-term success but also hands-on can-do attitude to execute on tasks without delegation
- Fast learner to understand particularities and external needs of all Avaloq business lines; ability to cope with ambiguity
- Affinity to capture, assess and improve complex operating models, incl. processes, tools, people, policies and governance
- Track record in creation of an environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, openness, and drive to challenging the status quo
- Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities, interacting and adjusting to different cultures and time-zones
- University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent; knowledge of English at fluent or mother tongue level
