Service Delivery Lead

As part of the Infrastructure Services Team, the Service Delivery Lead is primarily responsible for managing and securing the Network and Security operations of the Global Fund, based on on-premise or Azure Cloud resources and any connectivity to and from the Cloud, including the Global Health Campus site.

They will also be responsible for providing operation expertise to the platforms and make sure that best practices are implemented within the Global Fund (on-premises or on cloud) and Global Health Campus (GHC) Shared services around Security and Networking, covering all Information Technology Service Delivery processes (Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations and Continual Service Improvement) with our vendors and the other IT teams.

They will bring deep expertise in developing standard operating procedures, implementation of network and security procedures, experience in vendor management, systems architecture, support solution design, service level management, compliance, infrastructure, security and knowledge of trends in the technology marketplace.

They will be responsible for selection of consultants provided by vendors to ensure deployment of the right capacity, managing resource demand and capacity and consultant performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning
- Responsible for development, implementation, enforcement and maintenance of policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
- Responsible for assessing the need for any security reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required.
- Manage the security resources & suppliers & keep them updated with emerging security alerts and issues.
- Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts, also making use of our partners providing security coverage.

Acquisition & Deployment
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain protection services and products together with our Security team
- Recommend, schedule, and perform security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.

Operational Management
- Responsible for managing the services around Security and Network including the technical platform, the vendors and teams providing these services.
- Responsible for Network Architecture design and oversight within the Global Fund or the GHC Shared Services
- Lead the management and maintenance of all Network systems in the Global Fund, the GHC or any Cloud platform by vendors.
- Responsible for the deployment, management, and maintenance of all security & network systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software or other security tools.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights following defined identity & processes by our Security team
- Manage and ensure the security of databases and data transferred both internally and externally.
- Design, perform, and/or oversee penetration testing of all systems to identify system vulnerabilities. Review periodically all firewall rules.
- Responsible for designing, implementation, and reporting on security system and end user activity audits and take-up with our vendor and internal teams on remediation.
- Responsible for regular data cleaning from network devices across the board.
- Responsible for developing and leading the GHC Threat hunting, security patching and Vulnerability management & remediation of our internal and external platforms/devices with our external vendors and partners.
- Ensure best practice security patching process is setup and maintained across all suppliers with agreed SLA’s and KPI’s and regularly reported.
- Responsible for monitoring server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and make recommendations for resolution together with our vendors

- Ensure proper security measures are put in place and any finding remediated on a timely manner with the appropriate teams
- Download and test new security software and/or technologies.
- Provide on-call network and security support to end-users with the help of our Security and Network vendors and liaise with our internal security team for guidance and policies definition.
- Manage external vendors covering the Global Fund network and Security services and liaise with the IT team covering the GHC’ Shared services to ensure the proper operation of our IT services on Network and security.
