The Head of FP&A assumes responsibilities for all strategic & financial planning, financial analysis, reporting and broader financial operations within the Robotics Division (~$2.5B revenues). Reporting to the Robotics Business CFO, s/he is a key member of the Division’s Finance Leadership team. The Head of FP&A will be an integral part of the strategic planning process and will offer meaningful analyses and financial perspectives necessary for corporate decisions and strategic planning. In addition to the core FP&A responsibilities, in this role he/she will play a crucial role as change agent to address key business needs (such as giving visibility to End-to-End impact of decisions for examples on go / no go on a new order). The location of the role is flexible globally with a preference for a European time zone.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead the closing process globally to ensure accurate data is available as soon as possible. Then, immediately start variance analysis (vs budget, prior year, prior quarter/month) to understand business performance and communicate key information to CFO and Division Presidents.
- Direct ownership of developing and executing the financial forecasting process for the Division, coordination with functions, business lines and operations. Interface and manage communications on the forecast with the Business Area.
- Guide the global business through short, mid, and long term planning cycles. Partner with the Robotics leadership team to operationalize financial targets and challenges.
- Develop, automate, and execute standard reporting on critical Robotics Division KPIs
- Optimize the Robotics division operating review calendar, provide standard and automated reporting and templates to support effective, and efficient Robotics operating reviews. Lead the preparation process for all Robotics reviews with the Business Area, Group, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors.
- Support the Robotics President and CFO with evaluation of potential acquisition targets. Evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions, build scenarios and recommend actions.
- Lead some business critical global projects: eg 1. Building a model that gives visibility of the End-to-End margin of new deals and that allows the leadership team to make the decision that maximizes profitability; 2. Create a forecasting methodology based on AI; and others
- Support ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement processes and integrity performance. Personally, live the ABB values; this role requires expert collaboration and co-ordination with multiple stakeholders

**Your background**:

- A university degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is required, preferably with a further accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, CIA or other.
- Approx 15 years of experience, of demonstrated performance and results in the areas of finance, operational controlling and/or accounting, ideally in a B2B / industrial setting.
- Proven analytical mindset with the ability to provide meaningful business information from the numbers in order to facilitate business decisions.
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to influence others at every level including the highest level in the organization.
- A very high say/do ratio.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
