Zzf Partnerships Manager, Adapting to Climate

Adapting to Climate Change is one of the strategic pillars of the Foundation. As climate change continues to impact our planet, vulnerable communities are facing an increasingly dire situation. Indeed, 3.3 billion people live in hotspots of high vulnerability to Climate Change (source: IPCC). The current average increase in temperature is having devastating consequences and disproportionately affecting those who lack the resources to adapt and build resilience. Our vision is one of a resilient future where communities - large and small - can adapt to avoid losses and damages from the changing climate.

We operate across both the Global South (through the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance ) and the Global North (through our Urban Climate Resilience Program (UCRP) ), both programs having recently been significantly expanded to increase impact further.

To support these developments, we are looking to enrol a truly passionate manager who will project manage the programs that focus on scaling through partnerships, primarily connected to Zurich local Business Units (BUs), representing the Foundation in local programs and working actively to support engagement across the local BUs. The role will also support the CRMC Community of Practice - a group comprising users of the Climate Resilience Measurement for Communities (CRMC) approach and tools. The role will also be responsible for monitoring performance of the programs.

**Key tasks within the Adapting to Climate Change Pillar**
- Manage operational relationships with individual city partners and local Zurich BU Project Managers
- Oversee the implementation of the BU-engagement blueprint in all the UCRP programs
- Ensure that all participating BUs are fully engaged and committed to the activation of the local grants, engaging employees, customers, business partners and local authorities in our work
- Provide regular BU activation/engagement dashboards at UCRP level to the Head of Adapting to Climate Change (ACC) and the Head of Z Zurich Foundation (ZZF), including ensuring that reporting is consistently defined/planned across all programs
- Engage all UCRP grant champions/leads in the BUs with best practices and intelligence coming from all UCRP programs to accelerate implementation and increase overall impact
- Progress monitoring and support. Use experience from across all similar programs (and from the non-Zurich programs) to advise and guide the delivery teams in each program on appropriate monitoring and reporting approaches
- Support the partners, particularly the BU teams, to develop advocacy strategies focused on partnerships for scale where possible. Build a partnerships management dashboard at UCRP program level
- Support the BU to identify and deliver engagement opportunities
- Support the Climate Resilience Alliance Director with the CRMC Community of Practice and others
- Support the Head of ACC with progress reports to feed into the overall ACC progress reports in all reporting needs
- Support the Head of ACC in the development of MoUs with support from Group Legal and manage the process to signatures
- Bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field
- Project management skills
- Relationship management
- Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Good collaboration skills with an understanding and appreciation for regional and local differences
- Fluent in English. Any other language is a plus
- Proven track record of successful experiences with public-private partnerships and/or corporate sustainability areas
- Being comfortable working within geographically distributed and functionally diverse work groups
- Knowledgeable on climate change issues with expertise on risk and resilience measurement and approach
- Understanding of Zurich BUs and the ability to negotiate with senior BU staff
- Grant management skills to monitor performance (impact and budgets)

**The position will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.**
