For the role of **Vice President, Technology - Partnerships and M&A**, we are seeking an experienced thought leader who brings the right mix of technical acumen, commercial experience, and a passion for leading highly visible and complex projects/initiatives.
This individual will be recognized as a technology leader, having the unique opportunity to collaborate with:
- Our Partnerships & Alliances organization and the largest technology companies in the world
- Our M&A Integration Management Office on strategic mergers and acquisitions
You will join our CIO organization, a fast-paced, energetic, and high performing team at the heart of Thomson Reuters. In this role, you will provide leadership to business stakeholders and technology teams on strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth for Thomson Reuters. Uniquely, we are targeting a senior leader that can pivot from vision development to tactical problem-solving when required.
**About the Role**
In this opportunity as **Vice President, Technology - Partnerships and M&A**, you will:
- Lead the evaluation of potential partnerships and co-sell opportunities, influence feasibility and how to commercially operationalize
- Collaborate with product and technology leaders across TR to understand their priorities and strategy
- Be intimately aware of and help drive TR’s multi-year vendor strategy
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to senior management, business technology project teams and functional organizations
- Thought leader who provides strategic direction during team meetings and executive workshops
- Prepares strategic updates and vision documents, briefings, and reports, and demonstrates excellent communication skills and executive presence in presentations to TR executives, customers, and partners
- Define and lead the approach to our technical partnership strategies
- Provide overall technical leadership surrounding integration estimates and synergies associated with potential acquisitions
- Have a dotted line relationship with the Head of Partnerships & Alliances and serve as a member of their extended leadership team

**Experience**:
- Comfortable at all levels of an organization with the ability to communicate clearly
- A minimum of 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
- A deep and fundamental technology heritage that will gain the respect of the top technologists within TR and across the broader industry
- Commercial experience negotiating large scale enterprise contracts with vendors and/or customers
- Collaborating with product/strategy owners to drive increased sales and revenue
