BaselHerzog & de Meuron is an international architectural practice based in Basel with studios in Berlin, Munich, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco. Our team of over 600 collaborators develops projects of all scales across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
To complement our Business Development team in Basel, we are seeking for immediate employment a Business Development Manager.
The Business Development department is responsible for managing the global portfolio of potential new project opportunities for Herzog & de Meuron. The Business Development team collaborates closely with the Partners and the CEO to carefully select and pursue new projects. With its focus on the very early stage of each project, Business Development contributes to shaping the portfolio of Herzog & de Meuron. All business services are centralized in Basel with Business Development maintaining the global overview of the company’s pipeline of projects across all scales and typologies. As a first point of contact for potential new clients, our team is responsible for representing Herzog & de Meuron as well as establishing and nurturing these important relationships.
As part of the Business Development team, you would report to the Head and your key responsibilities would include:
- Summarizing, assessing and presenting potential new projects
- Responding to project inquiries and liaising with potential new clients
- Leading the process of preparing submissions such as EOIs/RFQs/RFPs while actively contributing to the preparation of content
- Preparing presentation materials to introduce Herzog & de Meuron to potential clients
- Researching and reporting on relevant market trends
- General support and assistance to the Business Development department
Your profile:
- Ideally Master’s degree in architecture or another relevant field
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with MS Office and InDesign
- Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
- Experience in the US/UK would be seen as an asset
