- The Associate Director, Competitive Intelligence will provide CI leadership, drive CI innovation, and provide strategic competitive intelligence for GPS&C and IM teams. The role will play a critical interface with S&G, CE&E, US IM, and priority markets to enable exchange of competitive information and Insights across the organization through integrated platforms and automated process. Competitive Intelligence is a critical ingredient of the Integrated Insights Plans supporting key business decision making and shaping business strategies.
- Major responsibilities
- Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide pro-active, thought leadership on CI to enable GPSC strategy and execution
- Build capability to consistently monitor CI outlook across TA relevant portfolio and key markets
- Drive CI automation to provide relevant data points to key stakeholders timely, intuitively through digital tools
- Maintain relevant databases on actual data and anticipated market changes (e.g., clinical practice, innovation) to provide input into GPSC TA and customer engagement strategies
- Foster collaboration with S&G, CE&E, US IM, NIBR, GDD and priority markets to gather competitive information and enable exchange of Competitive Insights, incl. through automated platforms and processes
- Partner with Integrated Insights Leads and TA colleagues linking CI activities to the Integrated Insights Plan, supporting key business decisions and shaping asset/portfolio strategies
- Identify and build partnership with strategic primary CI vendors
- Guide and support offshore CI team
The role can be based in either Switzerland and/or USA.

- Strong strategic, analytical, and competitive intelligence capabilities in primary and secondary CI
- Strong leadership skills in leading and guiding the offshore CI CONEXTs team
- Strong business acumen and ability to convert data and information to business relevant insights
- Demonstrated CI functional expertise and track record of CI innovation
- Experience working cross-functionally and cross-geography
- Significant account management experience at executive-level, and business case management experience
Preferred- US pharma landscape understanding (either having worked in the US or being in a role where success of the US organization is the dominant element of achieving the goals set for this role)
- Significant above-country experience (Global / Regional) or multi-country experience
