Spa Purchasing Manager

In line with the company strategy, the Spa Purchasing Manager is responsible for the procurement and purchasing processes for all areas of the Spa Department including Consumables, Retail, Equipment and Disposables. They manage the procurement of product and equipment at the best commercial and quality conditions, maximize revenues and gross margin objectives and manage inventory objectives. The Spa Purchasing Manager is in charge of all purchasing and inventory control tasks and the procurement and logistics needs for incoming materials. Solely responsible for the end-to-end process of obtaining equipment and product to the on-board delivery.
- University Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain, or Procurement;
- Fluent English. Any additional language is an advantage;
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Experience in logistic processes;
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and most common Business Intelligence packages;

**Procurement**:

- Identifies and evaluates the requirements for consumable products, retail products, equipment and disposables for all areas of the Spa Department;
- Identifies and evaluates potential suppliers using RFI, RFQ, RFP vendor request processes;
- Negotiates and finalizes contractual terms and frameworks maximizing value creation and stimulating buyer-supplier collaboration;
- Main point of contact and in frequent communication with suppliers, including handling discrepancies with quantity and quality, order statuses and new product information;
- Analyses consumers trends, market changes, competitor prices and products, and past sales patterns to source new products\/equipment and\/or alternative suppliers and to forecast future demand;
- Proposes relevant product\/equipment solutions that support strategic business vision and adaptations for each global marketplace.

**Analysis & Forecasting**:

- Applies inventory control measures, forecasting and demand analysis in order to ensure accurate material data;
- Measures and provides continuous updates to management on consumable consumption, retail product performance, future opportunities, and action plan(s);
- Completes accurate forecasts for consumable, retail and disposables understanding business volatility.

**Sales Performance**:

- Delivers improved ROI by effectively controlling the inventory management, identifying aged and slow-moving stock and implementing obsolete stock markdown;
- Provides visual merchandising guidelines to the onboard and corporate team to implement, revise and improve;-In collaboration with suppliers, develops an annual seasonal marketing calendar.

**Purchasing & Logistics**:

- Analyses retail and treatment sales data as well as consumption levels and places purchase orders in line with agreed product life cycle;
- Ensures that stock needs on-board each ship are met in terms of quality and quantity, time, and location relevant to ship and area of operation and proposes corrective actions to Head of Spa if needed;
- Liaises with suppliers, accounting, and ships to enhance supply chain process and solves invoicing issues;
- Executes corrective action plans for stock excess, slow movers and obsoletes;
- Informs ships about delivery of Purchasing Order in line with communication guidelines;
- Follows up delivery from provider to Ship;
- Ensures agencies have provided the customs documents for delivery;
- Solves incidents of loading and price verification with the ship and the provider.

**Administration**:

- Creates articles into the system using the correct data from supplier, and ensure that missing or incorrect data is actively corrected;
- Organizes and co-ordinates stock transfers, landing manifests and return to vendors;
- Sets prices on system;
- Provides sales reports to suppliers in line with agreed reporting process;
- Uses the correct system tools and actively seeks to improve knowledge and capability of these tools;
- Ensures correct administration of all the data in the database.
