We are offering six-month internships, starting on October 3rd in various Finance departments ( FP&A, Controlling, Tax and Business Performance) as well as in Marketing.

The internships will be based out of our International Headquarters in Bern, (Switzerland*), and partnering with teams across many locations around the globe.

Intern in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Central European Markets

We support the Central European markets team to understand operating plans and key drivers that will influence business performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and improve forecasting tools and reports to enhance accuracy around revenue forecasting
- Support business partners during forecasting and reporting cycles
- Deliver insightful weekly performance updates highlighting and quantifying key risks being faced by the region

Intern in Controlling

We support Europe reporting and month-end close processes, and coordination of various departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance and controls efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support daily controlling activities (revenue, expenses) and monthly closing with the Revenue and Operation Controlling teams
- Develop and improve the closing tools (SAP, Excel ), consolidate information for closing and other activities (Balance Sheet focus)
- Support various projects like improving the reporting tools or preparing supporting documentation to comply with new international requirements.

Intern in Indirect Tax
- EMEA

We support various Indirect Tax aspects of our EMEA businesses and Digital Service Tax

**Responsibilities**:
Support with the implementation and documentation of a VAT Compliance Management System: structuring and documenting processes with flow charts and SOPs
- Partner with an external consulting, business, and several internal stakeholders of all management levels
- Assist with developing training material to be deployed to key functions within the business.

Intern in Business Performance - Central European Markets

We ensure that eBay meets its goals and expectations in terms of sales and KPIs, as well as key financial metrics and we support the business to help them craft, deliver, or pivot on the company strategical goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Closely track the performance of the eBay Central European Market business, partnering with different stakeholders
- Independently run the Weekly Business Review process and work on your presentation and data analysis skill
- Perform at least 2 ad-hoc analysis for the business unit, understanding the financial architecture of a blue chip corporation

Requirements for all positions:

- Available for a 6-month full-time internship in Bern (40 hours per week), starting on October 3rd
- Be eligible to work in Switzerland (non-EU/EFTA citizens: please provide a copy of your work permit)
- Master student or graduate in a relevant field
- Very good command of spoken and written English
- Highly self-motivated; Ability to work independently (and remotely) and collaboratively with multiple teams located in different regions
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving mindset
- Database querying skills, data analytic tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Python), and knowledge of SAP systems are considered a plus
