Summer Internship 2022

As a Summer Intern you will become part of our global Combination Products and Medical Devices Quality group (CP/MD QA). You will have the opportunity to get to know the exciting and growing area of combination products. A combination product comprises a drug constituent part and a medical device constituent part. Examples are pre-filled syringes, or empty syringes co-packaged with a drug product, or inhalation devices. Such devices make it easier for patients to self-administer their medication. As an intern you will help ensuring that combination products developed by CSL Behring are safe and effective.

During your internship, you will work closely with quality engineers, device development engineers and other departments. You will be involved in combination product development projects and participate in the creation and review of related documents and in risk management activities. You may also consolidate, structure, and analyze key information/data supporting combination product development and regulatory compliance.

The internship enables you to familiarize yourself with methods of risk management and to gain insights into quality requirements and regulatory requirements from authorities.

**The Role / Your Responsibilities**:

- Participate in authoring and reviewing combination product / medical device documentation
- Participate in product risk management activities
- Compile, structure, and analyze device-related information and databases
- Assist with ensuring proper laboratory controls (equipment calibration)
- Interact with other departments to collect information or clarify questions
- Perform other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, medical engineering, life sciences, or enrolled in a university toward such a degree
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, including use of formula, formatting etc.
- Enjoy working on documents and with data
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Reliable and precise way of working
- Pro-active
- Interest in medical devices and/or quality engineering
- Proficiency in English (oral and written), proficiency in German is an additional asset
