We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to establish and drive our dedicated algorithmic trading function. You will take ownership of building a high-performing team and shaping the structure, vision and execution of this activity within our trading business. Your role Lead, build and scale our algo trading team, fostering innovation, cross-team-collaboration and disciplined execution in a highly volatile and competitive environmentDevelop, deploy and continuously improve cutting-edge strategies for European short-term power markets in a highly collaborative setupTake ownership of algorithmic trading performance and the associated P&LGuide analysis and enhancement of algorithmic models for speculative and asset-based approaches (e.g. BESS)Collaborate closely with intraday trading teams to ensure seamless 24/7 market coverage among different geographical locationsMonitor market developments, identify opportunities and drive our ambition to become a leading force in European electricity markets Your skills Proven track record in algorithmic or quantitative trading, ideally in power or energy markets Strong leadership experience with the ability to build and mentor high-performing teamsDeep understanding of the technical requirements for successful algo-trading and ability to coordinate them with stakeholdersExcellent programming skills (e.g. Python), with a focus on scalable, real-time execution applicationsStrategic mindset with hands-on execution capability, balancing innovation with risk disciplineFluency in English is mandatory, additional language skills are beneficial We are not interested in enquiries from recruitment agencies.
