We are a growing quantitative trading firm with offices based in Zug, Zürich and Appenzell, Switzerland.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Intern (m/f 100%) to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for graduates from ETH Zurich to gain hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving field of cryptocurrency asset management. The successful candidate will support our trading operations and ensure the smooth execution of various tasks critical to our business. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain cryptocurrency balances across multiple trading platforms. 
  • Facilitate secure transfers of digital assets between exchange accounts using platforms such as Fireblocks, Copper, and others. 
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential trading partners, counterparties, and vendors to ensure reliability and compliance. 
  • Review legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. 
  • Compile detailed transaction confirmations and perform rigorous reconciliation activities for cryptocurrency transactions. 
  • Assist in client setup and onboarding processes, including account creation, verification, and configuration for trading activities. 
  • Manage settlement tasks related to cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring timely and accurate completion. 
  • Identify and address discrepancies in cryptocurrency balances or transactions in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate trading risks in the cryptocurrency market. 
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices relevant to cryptocurrency operations, and respond to potential threats. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and promote a high level of financial control in cryptocurrency trading activities. 
  • Monitor market conditions, regulatory changes, and industry trends to anticipate potential risks and opportunities in the cryptocurrency market. 
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the cryptocurrency industry and regulatory environment to ensure compliance and adapt operations accordingly.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate or final-year student from ETH Zurich with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Strong interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of trading platforms and risk management practices is a plus.
