Accounting and Administration Intern (50%)

Join the Unbound Potential (UP) team, a Swiss startup founded in 2023 by a group of passionate engineers, chemists, and economists from ETH Zürich, where your contributions can make a real impact.

We envision a resilient electrified society, independent not only from fossil fuels, but also from critical mined materials, such as Lithium-ion or Vanadium. How can we reach this goal? By developing a disruptive innovative solution: a membrane-less redox flow battery that works exclusively with organic chemistry. Despite the name, our system is the simplest large-scale stationary energy storage you can imagine, usable by energy-intensive industries as well as energy utilities seeking cheap and sustainable energy storage solutions.

As an Accounting & Administration Intern, you will play a fundamental role in supporting the day-to-day operations and help our mission become reality.

What you will do:

  1. Support the accounting team processing invoices, receipts, and payments using our ERP system, Odoo.
  2. Support the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with procedures.
  3. Support the daily office operations, including email and phone correspondence.
  4. Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient office environment.
  5. Assist with onboarding activities and related documentation.
  6. Support the planning and logistics of company events and activities.
  7. Contribute your own ideas to optimize the back office.

What you will bring:
  1. Education: commercial degree.
  2. Knowledge and experience in accounting. Experience in a startup setting is a plus.
  3. Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication.
  4. You have a reliable, precise and independent way of working.
  5. Problem-solving skills: ability to identify challenges and propose solutions.
  6. Continuous learning mindset: desire to stay updated with ongoing professional development.

You are:

  3. Independent and detail-oriented.
  4. Passionate about driving the renewable energy transition.
  5. Excellent team player.
  6. Fluent in German (min. B2) and English.
