Axpo is seeking an experienced Senior Market Risk Manager with a strong knowledge of capital markets to join the Market Risk Management department, providing expert risk assessments on FX, IR and liquidity risks. This role is crucial to our Central Portfolio Management (CPM) function, driving effective decision-making in a dynamic market environment.

What you will do:

· Collaborate with Trading desks, Treasury, and Finance teams to implement FX & IR hedging strategies in line with the company's risk management policies.

· Further development and implementation of the Risk Analytics Framework, with a focus on FX, IR, and Liquidity Risks.

· Continuously monitor market conditions, FX fluctuations, and interest rate changes, providing timely recommendations for risk mitigation.

· Manage projects and support coordination of Central Portfolio Management (CPM) activities.

· Leverage technology to streamline risk reporting and provide actionable insights

What you bring & who you are:

· Academic background in a relevant field such as Economics, Engineering, Math, Physics or Finance with a strong quantitative background. Professional certifications such as FRM, CQF or CFA are highly preferred.

· Minimum 6+ years' experience in energy trading, commodity trading or international corporate and financial institution with a focus on FX and IR hedging. Strong understanding of capital markets and financial instruments (e.g., FX derivatives, IR swaps, options, futures).

· Experience with cash management and funding and related concepts such as FVA, factoring, etc. in the context of energy trading

· Proven expertise in FX&IR hedging strategies, portfolio management and stress testing.

· Strong project management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Experience working with senior management to present risk analysis and strategic recommendations.

· Self-driven team player with strong prioritization skills.

· Fluent in English; German skills are a plus
