Your Impact

As the Head of Strategic Messaging and Copywriting, you will lead the Messaging and Copywriting team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this pivotal role, you will define and execute the messaging strategy for core market segments across the customer journey. Collaborating with Speedgoat’s subject matter experts, you will distill the unique selling points and value proposition of our solutions into compelling, high-quality content that drives engagement and conversion. Your work as a copywriter will shape our corporate website, marketing campaigns, automation efforts, and other key outputs.

  • Messaging Strategy Development – Define the messaging strategy for Speedgoat and its core solutions in key markets. Collaborate with market and industry experts, and the CMO to craft unique selling points, solution highlights and value propositions tailored to target audiences.
  • Copywriting Aligned with Messaging Strategy– Plan, write, edit, and publish high-quality content that conveys the messaging strategy effectively across the customer journey. Copywrite texts for the website, marketing campaigns, marketing automation, customer success stories, newsletters, press releases and other marketing content. Localize messaging for Asian markets to address regional audiences.
  • Messaging Architecture & Flow – Research and define an ideal information flow to prospects and customers and implement the respective flow in a coherent messaging strategy with a primary focus on our webpage. Optimize text for best readability, highest conversion rates, and optimal search engine discoverability. Closely collaborate with the Manager of Creative Design & Branding to combine your messaging with a supportive brand design, and leverage compelling visuals and graphics.
  • Ensure Messaging Consistency – Maintain consistency in messaging across all marketing outputs. Review, edit, and proofread all marketing materials to uphold high standards. Promote awareness of messaging alignment across the organization.
  • Terminology & Taxonomy: Maintain and expand glossaries in collaboration with the product documentation team, and assure consistent and accurate messaging.
  • Team Leadership – Lead a team of copywriters, fostering a collaborative and motivated environment aligned with Speedgoat’s vision and values. Oversee project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of planned content. Develop team members' skills and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Planning, Reporting and Analytics – Develop an annual content plan to meet lead generation goals and align with business development priorities. Monitor and report key performance metrics, and analyze data to refine strategies. Leverage analytics to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Your Background

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Journalism, Linguistics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Work Experience: At least five years of experience in a similar role. Experience in the industrial B2B domain is a plus, high affinity for technology is a must.
  • Strategy Implementation Experience: Ability to develop and execute marketing messaging strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals.
  • Copywriting Experience: Demonstrated experience in copywriting high-quality, engaging content across various formats, including websites, newsletters, and other marketing materials. Strong expertise in grammar and style, attention to storytelling, and adjusting tone as needed.
  • Website Messaging Flow: Demonstrated experience in creating an ideal information flow on webpages optimized for user experience, search engine performance and conversion rates.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written. Proficiency in additional languages such as German, Italian, French, Mandarin, or Japanese is advantageous.
  • Leadership and Project Management Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Apply a hands-on approach to drive projects from concept to execution.
