ROLE DESCRIPTION  As Senior Analyst & Technical Strategy Manager, Technical Operation River, you will be part of the Technical Organization River (TOR) that oversees Maintenance & Repair Operations for Viking’s fleet of 80+ river ships. You will report to the Executive Director, Technical & Newbuild Operations River, and work closely with the technical department leadership team and key stakeholders from Nautical, Finance and IT within the company. You will lead a team of one analyst and one master data specialist. The Senior Analyst & Technical Strategy Manager is involved in every aspect of the technical management of our river fleet, with the overall objective to enhance and develop technology and data strategies to drive business performance, efficiency and our guests’ experience. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of analytics, digital transformation, and operational excellence. You will not only deliver fact-based insights but also lead implementation of a new fleet maintenance software, initiatives in automation, AI adoption, and IoT data utilization to enhance business processes. Beyond operational excellence, the role also acts as a driver of process transformation, ensuring that digital initiatives are strategically aligned and embraced across teams. The role is based in Basel (Switzerland) and requires travel depending on business needs and projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Data Strategy & Business Process• Definition and Implementation of Technical Data Strategy in Alignment with business processes• Lead the Implementation of a new Fleet Maintenance Management Software• Ensure the integrational link with other software, such as D365 and M365• Lead the creation and continued improvement of our Technical Masterdata• Connect Data insights into business processes to streamline decision-making Analytics & Operational Insights• Turn analytical findings into actionable strategies that align with organizational goals• Conduct advanced analyses and develop dashboards and reports to drive cost optimization and reduced downtime• Support leadership in data-driven decision-making by translating technical insights into business recommendations  Digital Innovation, AI & IoT• Lead change management to foster digital adoption and bridge the gap between technology and people• Identify, pilot, and implement AI-driven and automated solutions that enhance maintenance operational workflows• Enhance the IoT data strategy and ensure effective use of sensor data for predictive maintenance Leadership & Collaboration• Lead cross-functional projects with Finance, IT, Nautical an Onboard Operation, ensuring timely, and aligned delivery• Act as a advisor connecting strategic intent with operational execution • Facilitate workshops and strategy sessions to align teams and create ownership of shared goals• Track progress and communicate effectively to leadership and teams• Lead a team of one analyst and one master data specialist KEY QUALIFICATIONS Education and professional experience• Background in Engineering, Business Analytics, Consulting, or related field• Minimum 6 years’ experience in analytics, consulting, or transformation roles• Proven experience in digital strategy, organizational development, or innovation within complex technical environments (maritime experience a plus) Analytical and project management skills• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to interpret data and translate it into strategic recommendations• Skilled communicator who connects analytical insights with organizational strategy and process transformation• Proficiency in Power BI and familiarity with AI platforms and IoT ecosystems• Deep understanding of automation concepts, ERP, and maintenance systems Soft skills and other requirements• Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex information for diverse audiences• Collaborative and comfortable leading cross-functional strategic projects• Self-driven, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently• Innovative thinker with a logical, structured mindset and curious about new technolog• Fluent in English (German an advantage)• Strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS • German language knowledge is an advantage COMMUNITY & CULTURE • Fast-growing and dynamic environment, a modern workspace, flexible working hours HOW TO APPLY
