As a Senior Forward Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging Axpo Swiss assets and cutting-edge quantitative solutions to enable swift, efficient trading decisions. Based in Baden, Switzerland, you'll work closely with traders in dynamic energy markets, crafting innovative strategies and analytical models.

What you will do:
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis for forward energy markets.
  • Propose innovative and state-of-the-art analysis to meet trading needs.
  • Develop asset-backed strategies with the forward team to enhance Axpo's Swiss power plant portfolio value.
  • Create market strategies for proprietary trading in forward markets.
  • Improve and develop models and processes to optimize trading operations.
  • Collaborate with various functions and departments for integrated solutions.
What you bring & who you are:
  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the energy industry, ideally in a power trading environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and proficiency in Python and quantitative methods.
  • Interest and commitment to digitalization-driven solutions.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
