Lead Augmented Reality Display Project Manager

WayRay, a pioneering Swiss-based tech startup with international subsidiaries, is seeking an exceptional Augmented Reality Display Project Manager to strengthen its R&D team in Zurich.

We are on a mission to revolutionize the automotive industry with cutting-edge augmented reality head-up displays. To achieve this vision, we require a highly skilled project manager who can oversee the technical aspects of multiple projects from definition to market launch.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in leading cross-functional teams. With a proven track record of delivering successful R&D projects and industrialized products, this individual will be responsible for planning, creating concepts, and executing projects from start to finish.

The selected candidate will have access to state-of-the-art technologies, challenging projects, and a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, accompanied by a comprehensive stock option plan and relocation support.

Key qualifications include:

  • A higher degree in a technical field (Engineering, Optical Science, Physics, or a similar field).
  • At least 5 years of experience as a project manager.
  • 2+ years of experience as an engineer/scientist in the field of optics or photonics.
  • 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Literacy with Agile project management methodologies and Atlassian tools.

Bonus points for certified project managers, fluency in German, Russian, or Spanish, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
