About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to join our team at Leclanché e-Mobility SA. As an EHS Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Policies: Assist in defining and implementing the company's overall occupational health and safety policy, setting objectives that are implemented at all levels of the company.
  • Support EHS Programs: Support the development of occupational health and safety and environmental policies and programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Audit and Improve: Conduct regular audits of OHS and E processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Train and Educate: Provide OHS and E training for employees and managers, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk analysis and promote improvement measures to minimize risks and hazards in the workplace.
  • Policy Review and Update: Review existing policies and procedures and update them in accordance with legislation, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
  • Equipment Validation: Assist in the implementation of validations and start-up of equipment and installations, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards.
  • Incident Investigation: Record and investigate incidents and accidents, determining causes and implementing action plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide advice on various OHS and E topics to employees and managers, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and support to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma of safety engineer CFST or federal diploma of STPS specialist.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years experience as a EHS engineer in an industrial company.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO management systems, Swiss legislation (OSHA, environment), and related procedures.
  • Skills: Knowledge of electrical risk and Ergonomics, security rules and access management, and European regulation (REACH, ROHS,...).
  • Certification: Certification for transport of dangerous goods (a plus).

Language Skills

Fluent spoken and written French (C2), fluent spoken and written English (C1), and beginner spoken and written German (A2) (a plus).
