We are seeking a skilled Robotics Systems Specialist to join our team at Hexagon Technology Center GmbH in Heerbrugg, Switzerland.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex mechatronic systems and contribute to the development of innovative robotic devices.

About the Role
  • This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of prototypes, participating in troubleshooting initiatives, and carrying out necessary repairs.
  • You will actively engage in the assembly and integration testing of prototypes, implement these processes, and enhance future prototype production procedures in line with production priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a fleet of prototypes, including cabling, soldering, and general electronics handling.
  • Participate in troubleshooting initiatives and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Actively engage in the assembly and integration testing of prototypes.
  • Implement and enhance prototype production procedures.
  • Manage workshop operations and collaborate with the team to determine priorities.
  • Support top-notch quality through systematic inspection and verification of components and assemblies based on engineering drawings and best practices.
Requirements
  • You completed training as a Polymechanic EFZ, or Automation Technician EFZ or equivalent vocational training, FH-level production engineer qualification would be an advantage.
  • You have proven experience in mechanical assembly processes, including cabling, soldering, and general electronics handling.
  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician / mechanic working with complex mechatronic systems.
  • You are self-organized, able to determine daily tasks, and prioritize them effectively.
  • You have experience in understanding and following drawings for the assembly of electromechanical components.
  • You are proficient in the use of measurement and testing tools for mechatronic subsystems, and understanding of ESD safety measures is a plus.
  • You are comfortable working in a multicultural and evolving environment.
  • You have basic computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary, while German fluency (B2 or higher) is preferred.
