About the Role

Hitachi Energy Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced High Voltage Testing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory processes, you will collaborate with our colleagues from Service, Engineering, and Sales to support our Quality and Process Engineering team in solving process deviations and improving our Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute electrical, thermal, and specialized tests for our High Voltage bushing product line, considering resource and budget constraints.
  • Lead in-house Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with customers and perform routine, type, and/or special tests as required.
  • Ensure the full functionality and safety of our laboratories, including updating maintenance plans, instructions, and training materials.
  • Secure the required quality of bushing and traceability through process instructions.
  • Manage operational activities, such as resource management, as a deputy of the head of testing.
  • Project manage mid-to-small projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes (CIP) by questioning and reflecting on procedures and instructions.

Requirements

  • Successful studies in electrical engineering or equivalent, Bachelor or Master of Science.
  • Experience in the field of high voltage, testing, or electrical machine, and experience in a production environment is a plus.
  • Understanding of the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Business fluent German and good English - both spoken and written.
  • Team spirit, high social competence, and enjoyment of working in a multicultural environment.
  • Flexibility and technology enthusiasm.
  • Proactive towards problem-solving.
  • Organized character with the ability to prioritize.
