Job Summary

CHG Labcorp Central Laboratory Services S.à r.l. is seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Intern - Laboratory Data Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing current processes or developing new processes to address significant process gaps within Data Management. This will involve meeting with our Managers, Leads, and SMEs to identify areas for improvement and collaborating with them to implement changes. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating tools and dashboards to reflect these updates and attending training sessions to learn tools linked to Labcorp internal databases, data transfer, and workload assignment linked to data management processes.

About the Team

The Global Lab Data Solutions team houses various departments under its umbrella. Specifically, the Client Facing Data Management department works with our clients to format and deliver data in a way the client can ingest into their system and support their submission to regulatory bodies. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with our clients in strategic partnership to develop standards, processes, and innovations within data management.

Internship Assignment Summary

This project will focus on data management process and tool enhancement. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Meeting with our Managers, Leads, and SMEs to identify significant process gaps.
  • Working with those SMEs to enhance current processes or develop new processes to address those gaps.
  • Updating the tools and dashboards to reflect those updates.
  • Attending training sessions to learn tools linked to Labcorp internal databases, data transfer, and workload assignment linked to data management processes.
  • Learning about process gaps, how to address them, and how to work through a process improvement plan.
  • Engaging in professional development workshops to enhance your presentation skills, communication skills, and professional presence.


Required Skills

To be successful in this role, you must be a student and eligible for an internship agreement with a third party. You should also have working towards a degree in science, informatics, data management, data analytics, or data insights. Proficiency in English is a must, and you should have experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting. Additionally, you should be able to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal colleagues, embracing diverse ways of thinking through various forms of collaboration and partnership. Finally, you should be proficient in the standard Microsoft suite of software products, particularly Microsoft Excel, which is essential for this internship.
