We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Global Lab Data Solutions team as a Laboratory Data Solutions Intern. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful assignments that are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe.

About the Team

Our Global Lab Data Solutions team is responsible for managing and delivering data to our clients in a way that is easy for them to ingest into their systems. We work closely with our clients to develop standards, processes, and innovations within Data Management.

Internship Assignment Summary
  • Meet with our Managers, Leads, and SMEs to identify significant process gaps and work with them to enhance current processes or develop new processes to address those gaps.
  • Attend training sessions to learn tools linked to Labcorp internal databases, data transfer, and workload assignment linked to Data Management processes.
  • Learn about process gaps, how to address them, and how to work through a process improvement plan.
  • Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your presentation skills, communication skills, and professional presence.

In addition to department work, we support your professional development and career exploration through program workshops, leadership speakers, employee resource group introductions, new hire panel discussions, and small group "coffee chats".

In 2024, we hosted more than 250 internships globally. During your full-time internship, you can expect:

Education/Qualifications/Skills
  • You must be a student and be eligible for an internship agreement with a third party.
  • Working towards a degree in Science, informatics, Data Management, Data analytics, or Data insights.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal colleagues.
  • Ability to embrace diverse ways of thinking through various forms of collaboration and partnership.
  • Ability to use standard Microsoft suite of software products. Microsoft Excel proficiency is needed for this internship.
