Job Title: Intellectual Property Counsel

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intellectual Property Counsel to join our Global Legal Team at Groupe L'OCCITANE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling IP portfolios for some of our brands, including L'OCCITANE en Provence, Melvita, Erborian, and others, on a worldwide basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage IP rights applications and registrations, including trademark clearance checks and IP contracts.
  • Coordinate IP litigations, oppositions, cancellations, and enforcements.
  • Handle recordals, including change of ownership and change of names.
  • Conduct IP rights searches and clearances, and provide IP ad hoc analysis, opinions, and assistance to the business.
  • Deal with image rights issues and draft and negotiate IP contracts.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in IP Law.
  • +6 years' in-house experience in IP, in a corporate international environment.
  • Strong experience in IP contracts and trademarks searches/clearances.
  • Fluent in English, with French being a plus.
  • Strong customer-centricity mindset and business acumen, results-focused, proactive problem solver.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships at all levels and across functions.
