Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Counsel to join our Global Legal Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing IP portfolios for our brands, including L'OCCITANE en Provence, Melvita, Erborian, and others, on a worldwide basis.

The successful candidate will advise our teams on IP issues, including trademark clearance checks and IP contracts, and will play a key role in protecting our brands from infringements. You will also be responsible for managing IP rights applications and registrations, coordinating IP litigations, and handling recordals.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of IP law and experience in managing IP portfolios. You will also need to be fluent in English and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IP rights portfolios, including applications, registrations, and renewals
  • Advise on IP issues, including trademark clearance checks and IP contracts
  • Play a key role in protecting our brands from infringements
  • Manage IP litigations, oppositions, and cancellations
  • Handle recordals and other IP-related tasks

Requirements

  • Master's degree in IP Law
  • At least 6 years of experience in IP, preferably in an international environment
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Strong understanding of IP law and experience in managing IP portfolios
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
