About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Team Lead to join our team on our Ocean vessels. This position is responsible for supporting the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing various housekeeping functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory of supplies for Stateroom Hosts, ensuring that par levels are maintained and arranging for general store item collections as per schedule.
  • Verify that all logs are up-to-date and signed in designated housekeeping areas, tracking special cleaning matrices, including curtain cleaning, carpet shampooing, furniture sanitization, and shower head sanitation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of Housekeeping areas, including Guest Staterooms, public spaces, corridors, and lockers, to ensure compliance with company policies, employee health, and fire/chemical safety standards.
  • Maintain an impeccable standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, adhering to Viking's STAR Service Standards and Public Health Policies, while managing service according to Guest flow, embarkation/disembarkation, sea day activities, and other events.
  • Oversee direct reports by conducting performance reviews, discipline, Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) compliance, onboard training, succession planning, crew communication, and recognition.

About You

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with excellent oral communication skills.
  • Guest-focused, service-oriented individuals with a positive attitude, professional appearance, and strict adherence to hygiene standards are required.
  • Strong administrative skills, including database management and proficiency in word processing systems, are expected.
  • Familiarity with Public Health and Sanitary Policies is necessary.
