Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data and AI Solutions Engineer to join our team at Machine Learning Architects Basel (MLAB). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating reliable data and machine learning solutions.

Your primary focus will be on delivering impactful, valuable services to our clients in the field of DataOps & MLOps. You will work closely with our customers to understand their challenges and provide innovative solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will analyze customer requirements and identify best-fit solutions using your expertise in data engineering, machine learning, and software engineering.
  • You will design, develop, and implement data pipelines, ML/LLM integrations, reliability engineering, and AI/ML operationalization projects from prototype or pilot phase into production.
  • You will contribute to our solution blueprints and concepts, including our 'Digital Highway for Data & ML systems' approach.
  • You will strive to become an expert and trusted advisor in the field of DataOps and MLOps.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data, Machine Learning, or Software Engineer.

Experience with major data and AI platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku) and certification(s) is highly desirable.

Familiarity with DataOps, DevOps, and MLOps best practices, as well as topics such as Data Mesh, Data Lake/Warehouses, and Reliability Engineering.

Technical, hands-on experience with programming languages, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud services, REST API, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and agile development methods.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in a client-facing or consulting role.
