About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Consultant to join our team at Machine Learning Architects Basel (MLAB). As a key member of our consulting team, you will work closely with clients to design and implement cutting-edge data and AI solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Consulting: Collaborate with clients to understand their data and AI challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop tailored solutions.
  • Engineering: Design, develop, and implement data pipelines, ML/LLM integrations, and reliability engineering practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable data products.
  • Training: Share your expertise with clients and colleagues through training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events.
Requirements
  • Professional experience (minimum 5 years) as a Data or Software Engineer with a focus on data and ML systems.
  • Experience with major data and AI platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, MS Fabric).
  • Familiarity with data analytics and DataOps best practices, as well as topics such as Data Mesh, Data Lake/Warehouses, and Reliability Engineering.
  • Understanding and strong interest in the end-to-end life cycle of projects, code, model, and data pipelines.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
