Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Iron Systems. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our end-users, ensuring seamless service delivery and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support to end-users, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and associated peripherals and software.
  • Field Services: Perform on-site support, including break-fix, desk-side support, IMACDs, data migration, refreshes, and other technical tasks.
  • Configuration and Maintenance: Perform on-site updates, configuration changes, and software installations, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and running smoothly.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to end-user requests, and ensuring that all issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues that could impact end-user experience and take proactive steps to prevent them.
  • Inventory Management: Update and maintain inventory records for phones, peripherals, and system cards, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for provision of end-user support, including hardware vendor technicians for warranty repair or replacement.
  • Security and Compliance: Perform end-user support-related security and controls tasks, including access reviews, risk assessments, controls verifications, facility inspections, and maintenance of verification logs.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Level 3 support groups and project teams to enhance service delivery, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Event Support: Provide IT support for on-site or off-site events and meetings, including site setup, coordination with venue IT/AV contacts, and stand-by support.
  • Disaster Recovery: Provide IT support for disaster recovery and immediate response in emergency situations at local sites.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support if required outside business hours on a rotational basis.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in field services, technical support, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service orientation, verbal communication skills, and analytical thinking. Experience with various desktop systems, operating systems, and technical environments. CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent certification.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs at waist level.
