Global Retail Design Project Lead

We are seeking a visionary Retail Design Project Lead to spearhead the global design and development of our retail environments. This key role will be responsible for defining and executing the design strategy for our spaces, ensuring each location reflects our brand's heritage, values, and aesthetic while optimizing customer experience and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of branding, excellent project management skills, and the ability to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and customer-centric solutions. In this role, your main tasks will be:

  • To define and lead the store design strategy, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and global standards. Integrate innovative design trends and sustainability practices
  • Oversee the creation of concept designs, layout plans, and schematic design packages for new stores, remodels, and renovations, ensuring the highest standards of design and execution
  • Partner with internal teams (merchandising, operations, marketing) and external vendors (architects, engineers, consultants) to create cohesive, functional, and visually compelling retail environments
  • Manage multiple store design projects simultaneously from concept to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while maintaining high design standards
  • Ensure all retail environments reflect the company's brand identity, values, and customer experience goals, while tailoring solutions to local markets as needed

Key requirements for this role include a degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, 7+ years of experience in retail store design, space planning, and project management, and strong proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Smartsheet or similar tools. The ideal candidate will have a proven expertise in designing and executing retail design projects, remodels, and new retail environments on a global scale, with a strong command of the English and French languages.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience.
