We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Senior Director of Computational Biology to spearhead our client's efforts in leveraging computational techniques to extract valuable insights from biological and clinical data.

Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of computational biologists and bioinformaticians, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Computational Biology Strategy: Define and execute the computational biology strategy and roadmap, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research questions and develop computational approaches to address them using biological and clinical data.
- Workflow Development: Oversee the development and implementation of computational workflows and algorithms for the analysis and interpretation of biological and clinical data.
- Data Analysis: Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to derive actionable insights from large-scale biological datasets.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in computational biology and bioinformatics, and drive their adoption within the organization.
- Research Projects: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and execute research projects and studies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality, integrity, and reproducibility of computational analyses and results.
- External Partnerships: Manage relationships with external collaborators, vendors, and service providers.
- Communication: Lead the preparation and presentation of scientific findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Education: PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in computational biology, with a focus on the analysis of biological and clinical data.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of leading a computational biology team.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in computational approaches and methodologies for analyzing large-scale biological datasets.
