As a Community Storytelling Expert at CyberPeace Institute, you will lead and implement our storytelling and communication strategy to highlight the human impact of cyberattacks and disinformation on vulnerable communities. Your mission will be to engage and inspire a global audience, deconstructing technical topics into relatable, emotional stories.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive storytelling strategy that showcases the human impact of cyberattacks and disinformation.
- Manage a global community to tell the stories of harms of cyberattacks and disinformation against the most vulnerable.
- Create compelling narratives that transform complex technical issues into relatable stories.
- Deliver high-quality communication products, including website content, social media presence, newsletters, and releases.
- Ensure alignment with CyberPeace Institute's culture, values, and beliefs across all communications.
- Craft and communicate narratives across various platforms, including events, social media, blogs, and websites.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in communications, marketing, digital marketing, journalism, media, storytelling, community management & engagement, or related field.
- Strong ability to coordinate projects and tasks of a team.
- Creativity in playing with words, images, and interactive experience.
- Capacity to co-create content in a crowdsourced manner.
- Hands-on expertise in designing, publishing, and assessing the performance of publications.
- Fluency in English, spoken and written. Knowledge of French is an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to work in NGOs - not for profit sector.
