Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team at Coopers iET AG. As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in augmenting a high-profile team working on a strategic, international program in the insurance sector.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, translating them into solution/IT requirements, and ensuring their implementation throughout the life cycle. Your tasks will include:

  • Business Requirements Analysis: Build up a deep understanding of business objectives and business rules to validate requirements, identify holistic patterns for features, and ensure progress in line with strategic priorities and vision.
  • Requirement Ownership: Own assigned topics end-to-end, hands-on, including related dependencies in and across teams, process them diligently and on time through the life cycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct elicitation and refinement sessions with subject matter experts and end users.
  • Requirement Specification: Create complete and precise solution/IT requirement specifications from business requirements. Ensure to pass the required quality gates on time.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Proactively prepare input for stream team sessions, including Architect and Lead Developer, to discuss your concepts and solution alternatives.
  • Brainstorming and Scope Planning: Engage in brainstorming sessions for scope planning and solution design across teams.
  • Quality and Delivery: Apply agreed work and quality principles. Support the delivery stream and Lead BA to help ensure the deliverables are met.
  • Testing and Training: Participate in testing (per sprint, per release) as well as UAT and training activities.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience as a business analyst in global transformation projects at a strategic level with a clear solution and delivery mindset.
  • Language Skills: Very good English language skills, written and spoken.
  • Agile Experience: Proven experience in agile delivery environments, feeling comfortable in complex global project setups, and being able to work under pressure in a multi-vendor and multi-cultural team.
  • Business Requirements Capture: Sound experience in capturing complex business requirements, translating them into abstract concepts, then concise functional IT requirements, and ultimately targeted input materials for testing and user training.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Very strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ownership and Proactivity: Very strong ownership and proactivity.
  • Communication and Co-Creation Skills: Very strong communication and co-creation skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in the area of IT, technology, business information, or equivalent.
  • Industry Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the insurance industry, ideally international commercial insurance.
