About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Helvetia Insurance Group. As a Senior Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating industrial risks globally, with a focus on assets in Europe and North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of industrial risks, including remote and on-site evaluations.
  • Develop and implement structured risk evaluation processes in line with Helvetia standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to design insurance coverage that aligns with the technical quality of the risk.
  • Provide technical risk analysis to support underwriting decisions and ensure sound risk management practices.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and serve as a knowledge center for risk management expertise.
  • Collect and disseminate knowledge in risk management, becoming a trusted resource for technical questions.
  • Organize and structure risk information to facilitate the assessment of similar risks.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of relevant industry experience in an international environment.
  • Desirable: risk management experience in a large (petro)chemical corporation or insurance experience as a risk engineer or underwriter of international industrial risks.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other major language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Proven team player with a service-oriented attitude and a positive can-do approach.
