Lead Equity Research Analyst

Role Overview:

We are looking for a driven individual to join our Chief Investment Officer (CIO) division, offering expert financial insights on equity investment prospects.

Reporting to the Head of Equities, your responsibilities will include collecting and evaluating data on equity markets, formulating forecasts, and delivering prudent investment recommendations that facilitate informed decision-making.

This position presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute thorough evaluations of global equity securities.
  • Generate written investment proposals and insights for both internal and external stakeholders based on extensive research.
  • Collaborate with the Equity Research team to maintain a comprehensive internal equity portfolio.
  • Assist in managing the flagship Equity fund.
  • Aid in pipeline management and track the performance of portfolio company investments.
  • Support the Advisory team in marketing initiatives and investment inquiries.
  • Compose periodic sector-specific or thematic investment reports.
  • Prepare detailed internal investment documentation as well as external presentations.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business management, or a related discipline.
  • CFA charter holder or equivalent is preferred.

Required Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years in equity investment (buy-side or sell-side).
  • Specialized knowledge in the technology sector.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in complex numerical analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Familiarity with Factset and Bloomberg.
  • Proficient in Python programming.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and French. Proficiency in an additional language (Portuguese, Spanish, or German) is advantageous.
