Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our CIO department at SYZ SA. As a key member of our team, you will provide financial guidance on equity investment opportunities and contribute to well-informed investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of equity securities globally, identifying potential investment opportunities and assessing their feasibility.
  • Develop and provide written investment ideas and insights to internal and external clients based on thorough research and analysis, leveraging your expertise in the technology sector.
  • Maintain an internal equity list as part of the Equity Research team, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on investment opportunities.
  • Contribute to the management of our Equity flagship fund, working closely with the Advisory team to develop and implement investment strategies.
  • Support pipeline management and monitor the ongoing performance of portfolio company investments, providing regular updates and analysis to stakeholders.
  • Support the Advisory team for marketing campaigns and investment requests, utilizing your expertise to develop compelling investment pitches.
  • Write periodic sectorial/thematic investment notes, providing in-depth analysis and insights on emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed internal and external investment reports, presenting complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with a strong foundation in financial analysis and investment principles.
  • CFA charter holder or similar preferred, demonstrating a high level of expertise in investment analysis and portfolio management.
  • 10 years' experience in equity investment (buy or sell-side), with a proven track record of successful investment decisions.
  • Expertise in the technology sector, with a deep understanding of emerging trends and opportunities.

  • Excellent presentation skills (PowerPoint), able to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to understand or perform complex numerical analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, working effectively under pressure to deliver high-quality results.
Technical Skills:
  • Factset, Bloomberg, and other financial analysis tools, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Python programming language, with experience in data analysis and visualization.
Language Skills:
  • Very good command of both spoken and written English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in another language will be an advantage (Portuguese, Spanish, or German), with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders in multiple languages.
