About the Role

The Trade Finance Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing an assigned portfolio of customers operating in trade finance activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow-up a portfolio of clients operating in CTF activities, ensuring strong relationships and maximizing business opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, increasing the bank's portfolio through strategic partnerships and effective relationship management.
  • Review credit lines and prepare Credit Approval Forms (CAFs) for submission to the Credit Committee, ensuring thorough risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Assess new credit requests and present them to the Group Head, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Regularly monitor clients' financial positions, profitability, collateral, and credit risk issues, exercising first-line defense responsibilities.
  • Structure and follow up transactions with other departments, including Financial Institutions, Documentary Credits, and Money Transfers.
  • Maintain customer relationships and facilities with other banks, fostering cooperation and cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Economics or a related field.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in commodity trade finance, with a minimum of 5 years as a Relationship Manager in a Commodity Trade Finance Department.
  • Strong technical and market knowledge in commodity trade finance activities, with a focus on energy and/or metals.
  • Good understanding of banking products and services.
  • Risks structuring approach and excellent communication, marketing, and selling skills.
  • Good analytical and social skills, ability to adapt to different cultures, and willingness to travel.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, result-oriented, and team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written English; other languages are an asset.
  • Excellent command of MS Office applications.
