Power Trader Lead

We are seeking an experienced Power Trader Lead to join our team at MET International. As a key member of our short-term power trading team, you will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

In this role, you will work closely with our traders, quantitative analysts, and system developers to optimize our asset portfolio and identify new trading opportunities. A strong understanding of European power markets, including market rules and imbalance price formulation mechanisms, is essential for success in this position.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in power spot trading, with a proven track record in day-ahead and intraday markets. Proficiency in tools like Python, R, or SQL is also required, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute trading strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and system developers to optimize the asset portfolio.
  • Identify new trading opportunities through market analysis and research.
