Company Description

MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, originating additional positions on the European wholesale and the international LNG markets, as well as trading around international positions. Besides being the business consolidator of the entire MET Group, METI is the sole interface and trading arm towards Western European markets via natural gas and power trading on liquid trading hubs, wholesale origination and logistics services.

**Job Description**:

- Manage a team of up to 3 Operators (for cargo and vessel ops) and be responsible for all cargo and vessel operations activities within the portfolio globally
- Ensure the effective coordination of all parties in relation to load/discharge/vessel operations activities
- Liaise with counterpart operators on cargo or vessel operational requirements as per transactions, including preparation of documentary instruction, timely and accurate nominations according to contract, the appointment of independent surveyors and ship/protective/shore agents, customs documentation
- Support and develop internal reporting processes and activities to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies in a timely manner
- Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as front, middle, back-office, legal, shipping, finance, etc. on any operational topics to be flagged or actioned
- Ensure clauses in LNG SPAs, MSPAs or CMs are accurately captured in relevant documents
- Support and checking of trades to be entered into the internal ETRM system
- Check calculations relating to operational items, including claims/demurrage where necessary
- Create a checklist of cargo and vessel operations and record trading activities
- Support commercial activities such as reviewing MSPAs, CMs, KYC and SBLC, internal discussions for trading strategy, etc

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in LNG cargo and/or vessel operations with excellent knowledge of the LNG business value chain
- Knowledge and experience managing cargo and/or vessel operations at both loading and unloading LNG terminals
- Ability to manage and organize large amounts of data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ETRM system (preferably ENDUR)
- Good communication skills with good command of written and spoken English
- Possess a good collaborative working attitude, keen to learn, good team player, good communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team and stay committed together on the task at hand
- Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with employees at all levels within the company
- Has a focus on understanding and delivering value to external and/or internal stakeholders, sees the value in listening and working successfully with customers to achieve “win-win” outcomes
- Detailed, well organized, and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time, prioritizing required actions accordingly to meet required deadlines
- Good organization and time management skills
- Meticulous analytical skills with an eye for details to ensure minimum errors in work
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive
