At 42matters, we're shaping the future of mobile app analytics, and we're looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, constructing, and maintaining data pipelines to augment our product range.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with data engineering, proficiency in Python, and familiarity with tools and databases central to our operations. You'll collaborate effectively with a team, take the initiative, and function autonomously when required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data automatically.
  • Extend and optimize our services and applications by making large amounts of data accessible for our data scientists and customers.
  • Write and maintain code that verifies data quality.
  • Help build a reliable, sustainable, and scalable data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience with automated data collection and cleaning.
  • Good experience with Amazon Web Services (ECS, RDS, S3, Elasticsearch).
  • Good knowledge of Python.
  • Good knowledge of MongoDB.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Familiar with relational data stores (PostgreSQL, Redshift).
  • Good abilities in DevOps.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong educational background: Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or other technical/science/math fields.
  • Proficiency in other programming languages (Bash, Java).
  • Experience with crawling libraries (selenium, scrapy, beautifulsoup).
  • Ability to identify and resolve performance issues.
