We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Department of Biomedicine, Universität Basel. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project in systems pharmacology and computational biology, focusing on the regulation of cancer metabolism.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply mathematical models of metabolism to analyze and interpret large-scale dynamic profiles of small molecules effects on cancer cell metabolism.
- Adapt and improve experimental protocols for high-throughput metabolomics analysis of drug-perturbed cells.
- Uncover the hidden potential of apparently inactive molecules in interfering with cellular metabolism.
- Support and prepare scientific reports and journal articles.
- PhD in (Bio)Physics, (Bio)engineering, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, or related fields.
- Solid experience in data analysis.
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. Matlab, R or Python).
- Motivation to work in an international research environment.
- Experience in kinetic modeling and/or hands-on laboratory experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Interest in mathematical modeling of metabolic and regulatory/signaling networks.
- Access to state-of-the-art research equipment in metabolomics and computational biology.
