Job Title: Safety Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Safety Officer to join our team in Visp, Switzerland. As a key member of our site's operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities


  • Manage the work permit process, assessing risks and preparing work permits in line with safety regulations.
  • Conduct random inspections of work areas to ensure compliance and approve workspaces after tasks are completed.
  • Identify hazards, implement risk control measures, and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with teams to foster a proactive safety culture and provide safety guidance and training as needed.


Requirements


  • Industrial apprenticeship with 3-10 years of experience or a bachelor's degree in process engineering or machine engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (German an advantage) for effectively coordinating with various teams and training personnel on safety practices.
  • Strong attention to detail for conducting thorough inspections and identifying potential risks.
  • Ability to foster a proactive safety culture, encouraging team members to adhere to and improve safety standards.
  • Familiarity with company and industry standards on safety protocols, risk mitigation, and emergency response.
