Logistics Specialist Role

At Mageba, we are seeking a skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, including selecting the most cost-effective modes of transport and ensuring timely delivery.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is maintained at optimal levels and that any discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve any logistical issues that may arise.
• Prepare and process documentation required for international shipments, including commercial invoices and customs declarations.
• Track and trace shipments in transit, communicating regularly with carriers to ensure goods arrive safely and on time.
• Handle goods returns, coordinating collections and any replacements required with requesters.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose solutions to management to optimize operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Vocational education as a Foreign Trade Specialist or equivalent experience in a comparable function.
• Fluent German and English language skills, with additional languages an advantage.
• Solid understanding of logistics principles, including stock management, transport, warehousing, and route planning.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export requirements, standards, and quality in different countries.
• Proven adaptability, analytical skills, and stress resistance.
• Experience with specialist software, including ERP, logistics, stocks, and flows.
